Here are five great health and well-being quotes for the start of 2022. We hope that they inspire you to live your best life and also to help you grow as an individual.
“The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition. - Thomas Edison
One of the biggest things I’ve struggled with is relying solely on Western medicine. My whole life I have been under the understanding that if you don’t feel well then go to the doctor. My experiences with doctors here in the US is that they will just give you the hypothetical band-aid and say come back in six months. They don’t treat the problem by finding the source. I am now on a quest for whole health treatment. I am understanding that what we eat and drink can and will have long-term effects, bad or good. It is up to us to figure it out and have a fulfilling balance.
“The body achieves that which the mind believes.” - Mental Health America
There is this belief in my mind that I will accomplish my goals. All of them. I believe it wholeheartedly and I have been seeing the proof and I am checking things off along the way. The body will/does achieve these things with your mind’s help. The past few years I have been working hard on daily exercising and I have been accomplishing them. I have convinced my mind that I have to do them so with that information, my body follows through with it. Believe you can and you will. I promise. You may need to develop a growth mindset.
“There isn’t one giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps." -unknown
We are plagued with this sense of belief that if you come out the gate swinging all will align itself and that’s farthest from the truth. You have to keep swinging over and over again to make the marginal increases throughout. Each step you take will put you in the right direction even if you stumble. Get up dust yourself off and keep at it. If you know and believe that it’s the process that will get you there, then you will be ahead of the game. Good luck!
“Movement is the song of the body.” - Vanda Scaravelli
This is super important especially since many of us are still dealing with the pandemic. Still after two freakin years! Get out into that sunshine and stretch your legs. Go on a hike somewhere new. Treat your body well and it will respond in ways you never knew. It’s time. It’s time to get back into the activities that help your body. Play volleyball, go for a jog, or whatever but get back to it because if you don’t when you get older your body will start slowing down.
“To keep the body in good health is a duty otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” - Buddha
I finally now understand the mind and body balance and I wish I would have learned it years ago. Our lifestyles have a way of carving out our paths. If we take care of ourselves now the better we will fair. We will do many great things and we will do even better things when we understand that we need to exercise our bodies and our minds. Keep your brain evolving by learning and growing.
